I am running for reelection to the DCCC
because of my lifelong commitment to the Democratic Party and my ongoing desire
to help build it, make it successful, and ensure that the party is a strong
voice for our shared progressive values.
I registered as a Democrat the day I
turned 18 in 1988, and I have been working to build the party ever since. I
founded a Democratic club in college, campaigned for many Democrats, and
co-chaired the Alice B. Toklas LGBT Democratic Club.
I have served on the DCCC since 2004 and
have been a committed member. I served as chair of the DCCC from 2006-08,
during a time when we registered 15,000 voters. I have continued to be an
engaged member, including helping raise funds for the party.
